Prerequisite Courses

We accept students from all undergraduate majors. To ensure student success, the program has transitioned to a new model that replaces multiple prerequisite courses with a single integrated foundations course.

Beginning in Summer 2026, the MSOM program adopts a new format to include a foundations course in lieu of the former prerequisites. All students will instead take OMGT 50203: OM Foundations, a graduate-level course designed to provide a strong baseline in decision support tools and other essential concepts. A grade of "B" or better is needed to satisfy the requirement.

If you have questions about prerequisite requirements, proficiency exams, or the updated program structure, please contact MSOM advising at msom@uark.edu.
