Students can earn a MicroCertificate to gain skills for their job and improve their resume.

Program Overview

The 6-credit hour Graduate MicroCertificate in Analytics for Operations Managers is open to any student with a STEM bachelor’s degree. Organizations generate and store a vast amount of data/information each day. This could come from a client placing an order, someone visiting the organization’s website, a maintenance request, or from one of the numerous other processes. These organizations are trying to gain a competitive advantage by finding ways to use the data to make better decisions and ultimately create greater value for their stakeholders. Operations managers must understand the data produced by their organization, the methods to analyze the different types of data, and be able to communicate the analytic results to decision makers.

This MicroCertificate, which can be added to your resume, is one step in an educational pathway that could lead to a master’s degree.

With the MS in Operations Management and the MS in Engineering Management, you can start with a two-course MicroCertificate, continue with additional MicroCertificates or four-course Graduate Certificates, then apply all courses to a 10-course graduate degree. You can obtain your first credential in as little as eight weeks.
