Degree Requirements

To obtain the Master of Science in Operations Management, students must complete 30 hours of coursework and a comprehensive exam.

A popular option with our students is to use elective courses to earn a graduate certificate in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or Homeland Security.

Additional Degree Requirements: In addition to 30 hours of required coursework, students must take a comprehensive exam. The comprehensive exam consists of a recorded presentation, followed by live examination.

Admissions Requirements

The Master of Science in Operations Management program is open to students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and minimum 3.0 GPA in the last sixty hours of completed coursework or cumulatively. Applicants with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.0 are encouraged to apply for a graduate certificate in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or Homeland Security. Successful completion of a certificate with a 3.0 GPA qualifies the student to apply. Alternately, The Graduate Record Exam (GRE), or Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) can be used for students with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.0.
