Derek Martin is a manufacturing professional and small business owner with over 20 years of senior leadership experience in operations, process improvement, financial analysis and business development. He joined Ducommun Inc. (DCO) in 2016 and is the Managing Director of the Joplin, MO facility while also serving as a partner in DLM Martin Management Company, LLC a family-owned property management company. Previously Derek served in global division leadership roles with Leggett & Platt and Baker Hughes. His diverse manufacturing experience covers multiple industries including aerospace, military and defense, electronics, agricultural ingredients, CNC machining and oil & gas production. Throughout his career he has effectively managed business operations, acquisitions and divestitures, international startups and the development of world class management teams. Derek has been a member of the University of Arkansas MSOM Alumni Board since 2016 and enjoys working with others in career and professional development, particularly with the opportunity to showcase the professional benefits of the MSOM program.

Derek lives in Joplin, MO with his wife Traci where he also enjoys home renovation and remodeling as well as classic car restoration.
