Coursework in this certificate program follows the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) body of knowledge requirements of American Society of Industry Security (ASIS)
The Homeland Security certificate is a twelve hour program consisting of three required courses and one elective. Students earning their MSOM degree have the option of earning the certificate at the same time.

Yes! These are considered graduate classes and you will receive graduate level credit for the courses you take toward the certificate.
Beginning Fall 2017, courses taken toward the MSOM Degree can be used toward the HS Certificate if the courses are completed prior to graduating with the MSOM degree. Only courses completed within six years of certificate completion will count toward the certificate.
To be admitted, you must have a conferred bachelor degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 60 graded credit hours. You must also have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better, OR a 2.5 or better GPA in the last 60 credit hours. The GRE is not required for admission to the HS Certificate.
The fee for application is $30 if you are currently, or previously, enrolled as a graduate student. Otherwise, the fee is $60.
